杜伦大学关于Deferring offers to 2021 关于延期至2021年政策如下：

Undergraduate 本科延期申请

•       Admissions are considering deferral requests on a case-by-case basis.

录取部将case by case考虑延期请求

•       We may limit the number of deferrals we’re able to accept to ensure it’s fair on next year’s cohort (as this cycle’s applicants can reapply next year)

学校会限制延期数量以保证下一年学生群体的公平

•       For courses where we usually stay open beyond the 15 January UCAS deadline, there is more flexibility since we tend to have an excess of offers, which is most of our courses for the international market. However, this may mean for international applicants interested in courses like Finance or Marketing there is less flexibility as they have tended to be very popular and selective.

对于UCAS 截止日期1月15日之后仍开放申请的课程，相对更灵活。但是，相对国际生更感兴趣的课程，如金融或市场营销将会灵活度较小，因为竞争相对激烈。

•       Whilst we do usually consider deferral requests up until the start of term, requesting sooner might give a better chance of acceptance (and may free up a place for another applicant). However, applicants need to be sure this is what they definitely want as it isn’t always possible to change back.

通常学校会在学期开始前都可以考虑延期申请，越早申请被接受的机会相对越大。但是，学生需要非常确定自己需要延期在做申请，因为一旦延期成功将不能再撤回。

Postgraduate 研究生延期申请

 ·         Offer holders who decide that they would like to defer their place on their Masters programme until September 2021 due to Covid-19 reasons, please contact should contact the University via their Applicant Portal.

受疫情影响，研究生如果需要延期至2021年-9月，需要通过application portal联系学校。

·         If the request is agreed, Admissions will contact the applicant to confirm this and they will receive their amended offer when the new cycle opens in September 2020.

如果请求被接受，录取部会联系申请者确认，随之将会在9月新招生季开始时收到变更的offer。

Tuition Fee refund policy (Postgraduate) 研究生学费退费政策

The two reasons for a deposit refund are: 如下两种原因可退押金：

1.    When a student attempts to, but does not meet their offer conditions 当学生想入读但没有达到录取条件或

OR

2.    When a student applies, but fails to obtain, a student visa.当学生申请了签证但是获得学生签证失败

If a student defers their application rather than withdraws it, the  student’s deposit will also be deferred. The student will then receive their amended offer in September 2020 when the new cycle opens.

 如果学生延期而不是取消申请，学生的押金相应也会被延期，将会在9月新招生季开始时收到变更的offer

However, we can consider exceptional circumstances. If a student does not want to defer their application and the reasons for withdrawing are specifically Covid-19 related, the University may be able to arrange for the tuition fee deposit to be refunded. If this is the case, please advise your students to submit an enquiry via their Applicant Portal.

然而，学校会考虑特殊情况，如果学生不想延期，受疫情影响取消申请，学校可能会安排押金退费，关于这点，学生需要在Applicant Portal中提交请求。
